Dr. Neetash Patel DC BSc
Dr. Patel has worked his way across the globe and has found his way back home to Calgary in 2002. Combining his dedication to health, his love for travel and passion for life, he brings a unique and dynamic perspective to helping you achieve your health goals.
Eliminating pain, restoring function and putting people back in control & maintaining their health are the mainstays of his treatment approach. Dr. Patel believes in learning as many things in life as possible and using them to their best advantage. Armed with knowledge from Chiropractic, Active Release, Acupuncture, nutrition, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, exercise & personal interests, Dr. Patel helps get his patients actively involved in life and their own health. A big believer in the team approach to health & wellness, Dr.. Patel along with Dr. MacIntyre started this unique clinic where all you health goals can be acheived!
A firm believer in living life by example, Dr. Patel has gained a reputation as a gym rat, kitchen guru and as someone who really gets the most out of life. Over the years, he has enthusiastically participated in adventure racing, triathalons and distance running. In 2009 he completed several races including Ironman Calgary 70.3 and is currently training for a full Ironman. He donates his time and skill to many charitable events as community and world development is a priority in his life. Dr. Patel regularly contributes health & lifestyle articles for national magazines, started his own cooking school 2005 and is a published cookbook author & entrepreneur.
A definite multi-tasker, Dr. Patel is passionate about education, in all aspects of life. He currently on extended leave from post-secondary academiclecturing & teaches sustainable cooking & life skills to young, new parents. Dr. Patel is also an advisory board member for the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Patel believes in the simply philosophy that every day is another chance to smarter, healthier, stronger and happier.

Dr. James MacIntyre DC CSCS
Dr. MacIntyre is Dr. Patel’s founding partner in Adjust Your Health. He is a proponent of the integrated healthcare models, including a multitude of treatment options to best help the patient. A majority of his patients seek out treatment for various nerve / muscle / joint complaints, though the goal is always to “help the whole person”, and to have the patient feel “managed” vs. only “treated”. Dr. MacIntyre finds a large number of his patients are referred because they are difficult cases to solve.
Aside from his healthcare practice, Dr. MacIntyre also has a passion for teaching. He is a science & technique Instructor/Lecturer for CCMH – Foothills College, and is also an Assistant Instructor for Active Release Techniques®. He has been a guest lecturer for various organizations, such as the Co-Operators Insurance group and Alberta Massage Therapist and Wholistic Practitioners Association. He is sought after for his engaging, entertaining teaching style, and as any of his patients will tell you, Dr. MacIntyre is well known for explaining & educating his patients.
Good portions of Dr. MacIntyre’s patient populous are athletes of all calibers, many treated for injuries, while others for enhanced recovery time & performance. Aside from being a participating doctor with various sports events, Dr. MacIntyre has been part of the Active Release® treatment teams at IronMan Canada and the IronMan World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. He has training in various forms of Chiropractic and soft tissue therapies, including physiotherapy, acupuncture, therapeutic exercise, strength and conditioning. Using these various therapies, he emphasizes an active care approach, where the patient must become an active participant in their own recovery.

Dr. Shawna Heber DC BSc (Kin)
Dr. Shawna Heber, formerly Dr. Pho, is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where she received the Cum Laude and Clinic Honours designations. Dr. Heber is a native of Edmonton, where she attended the University of Alberta and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Dr. Heber competed for the University track & field team in the pentathlon and heptathlon events. She has competed at the provincial and national level for 8 years, and has a strong background in sprinting, jumping, and throwing biomechanics.
Dr. Heber received several athletic and academic awards while a student at the University of Alberta. Her academic background as a Chiropractor has been supplemented with several soft-tissue treatment modalities, including Active Release Technique, Graston Technique, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Kinesiotaping, and orthotic assessment. Dr. Heber believes that soft-tissue treatment and rehabilitation play a large role in the recovery of any injury. She aims to provide her patients with all the tools to relieve their pain and to prevent it from recurring.
Dr. Heber is also an instructor at the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy, where she has taught several courses including Neurology, Pathology, Kinesiology, Assessments and Therapeutic Exercise. In addition to keeping her mind sharp, she takes pride in being able to pass on her knowledge to future health care professionals.
Dr. Heber enjoys spending time outdoors camping, canoeing, climbing, running, cycling and playing volleyball. Her active approach to a healthy lifestyle is reflected in her treatment philosophy. In addition to helping people recover from injury, her goal is also to prevent future injury and enhance physical performance and function, allowing her patients to live healthier and happier.
Dr. Amber Wiens, DC, Dance Therapy Technique
Dr. Amber Wiens is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, in Toronto, Ontario. A Native of Calgary, Dr. Wiens is happy to be practicing in her home city. As a professional dancer, and aerial acrobat, Dr. Wiens has learned first hand about the physical rigors of the professional athlete / artist. Combined with her Medical & Chiropractic knowledge base, Royal Academy of Dancing and Cecchetti training, Dr. Wiens provides Dance Technique Coaching that has proved very successful with professional dancers locally, and internationally. This coaching helps dancers retrain aberrant movement patterns to reduce impact on their joints, and decrease the chances of re-injury. Along with dancers, Dr. Wiens see many other athletes, weekend warriors, and those whom have been injured due to repetitive strain or acute injury in the workplace.
Her approach to treatment is thorough, and along with continuing education she uses whatever resources necessary to bring her patients back to optimum functioning. Dr. Wiens often uses Active Release Techniques®, Chiropractic manipulation, Rehabilitation, and Physiotherapy modalities to aid her patients in the healing process. Ultimately her goal is to give her patients the tools to assist in their own healing.
Dr. Wiens has been the consulting chiropractor for Alberta Ballet, School of Alberta Ballet, International School of Dance, and Theatre Calgary since 2007. When not in the office Dr. Wiens spends her time teaching and choreographing for local dance groups, and performs with her husband in various stage shows around the globe. Dr. Wiens believes that having a good health care team is invaluable, as it maximizes our potential for optimum achievement in our active lives |
